Japan: M6.6 Earthquake Hits Off Miyazaki Coast, Prompts Tsunami Advisory

The Japan Meteorological Agency reported that on Monday, January 13, at around 21:19, a magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck the Hyuga-nada Sea off the coast of Kyushu Island, Japan, at a depth of 18.6 miles (30 kilometers). A tsunami advisory was also issued for Miyazaki and Kochi prefectures. A tsunami of approximately 20 cm was observed. This video was filmed inside an airplane at Kagoshima Airport, located in southern Kyushu.
